F. Scott Fitzgerald
Hi there! I'm Zuleika, Bermudian born and living in Edinburgh since 2005. I have 3 sons and 2 gorgeous grandkids. I'm a lover of everything crafty, nature, my kitchen, my family and am a bit of an introvert. Well, not a bit, I am an introvert. hehe! Why this profession do you ask? Well, I've always found the human mind to be incredibly fascinating, and even though I'm not a "people person", I am an empathic person. I've always cared and looked after other people and have spent the better part of my life caring for others. So why not do it professionally?
Having been through quite a bit of trauma and abuse in my own life, I find I'm drawn to work with people who just want to live a life away from the trauma and/or abuse they've suffered. Away from what could potentially be holding them back from being who they're meant to be. It's so easy to lose yourself amidst all that chaos. It may not be abuse that you need help with. It could be neglect, loneliness, overwhelming stress, crushing anxiety, suffocating depression, or you just need someone to listen, and I'm here to help with all that as well. I want to be there to help lift someone out of the pit of despair we sometimes find ourselves in.
Not everyone can understand, or are capable of understanding what you're going through. I aim to provide a relaxed and non-judgemental space; a space where hopefully you feel safe enough to explore yourself and figure out where to go from this point. Somewhere that allows you to get it all out, everything that you've stored in your head for far too long because you had nowhere else to put it. It never ceases to amaze me how just saying something out loud to someone who is actively listening can make such a significant difference.
I started Forging Pathways with the goal of helping others to find the path they're destined to follow. This could be anything from discovering who you truly are through our sessions, to reclaiming your life after a crisis and/or traumatic event.
We're all on this journey of life together right? So, we might as well do it TOGETHER!
